Coincidentally, Kagami had been trying to convince Adrien to reveal his identity to Ladybug for some time, so when Ladybug de-transformed in front of him, Adrien thought, Well, why not? Even at this point, he’d dedicated his love to Kagami, but not having a crush on Ladybug anymore didn’t deaden the shock of the revelation all that much. “You don’t need me to protect you! Kagami has more fighting skills than either you or Ladybug combined! Oh, sorry - you or Marinette combined.”īesides becoming more reluctant to see action, Plagg had also taken to teasing Adrien about Ladybug’s true identity, which Marinette had revealed to him at Luka’s insistence. “To protect me!” voice-cracked Adrien for the twelfth time. “That still doesn’t clarify the importance of me being here!” protested Plagg. “Come on, Plagg, I just told you this,” Adrien huffed. “There’s a killer on the loose and we need to catch Marinette and Luka up. Despite the kwami of destruction usually being eager (and at times, frantically desperate) to see some action, Adrien suspected that Plagg had grown a tad lazy during this long intermission between akumatizations. Plagg had been complaining ever since Adrien had brought him to the Nerve Center. “I am still bewildered as to why I had to come along!
